Putting a positive spin on our losses

We’ve shared about a lot of troubles, hard days, and losses. We wanted to share about the positives in our lives.

There are days it’s very hard to remember the blessings in our lives but these are what keep us walking through the real hard days!

Family - supportive family members who are there through the thick and thin WITH you. • we both have very closeknit families, not everyone does. Family does not have to be blood relatives. Find the people you feel closest to (friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc) and confide in them!

Chelsea- I’ve mentioned before my dad and sister have been absolute ROCKS for me throughout this, they can easily relate. I have also mentioned Bobby as well since he had been through my side the entire second battle my mom fought. He has been my listening ear, the arms that hold me as I sob.. to everything in between. I don’t know where I would be mentally if it wasn’t for his helpful guidance, even when it was hard for him to share or maybe I didn’t want to hear it.

The other family that I’ve been beyond blessed to have gained through marriage have also been angels. True. Angels. They have always been there to help with Aubrey.. and myself as well. I have been able to call any of them not just the last year.. but my entire time being in the family. My mom alwayssss used to say how much she loves my in laws and how lucky I am.. and she is damn right. My mother in law (hi Jen) has helped me more than I could even express, she needs her own blog post.. but for now I will keep it short and sweet and just say, she has been one of the biggest blessings in my life.

Jill- I was not with my husband when my dad passed away (small world story) he was part of that day in a different way. When Chad and I met he already knew I had lost my dad. I remember him sharing his side of the story the 2nd night we went out and it made me cry.

Chad is my rock during the really hard days. He knows not to ask question, he just hugs me and let’s me cry or vent.

Our children-

They are our world. We have mentioned motherhood is NOT easy but we would not trade it for anything. It’s the unconditional love people always talk about but you truly do not know what it’s like, until you become a mom. The smiles, snuggles, cries, the adventures, watching them grow and learn - alllll around it’s just magical. This Blog-

We can’t even list all of the positives this blog has brought / taught us.

Our number one takeaway is - there are so many people suffering in silence. PLEASE share your story if you have one. please find an outlet because NO ONE should walk through life feeling constant pain from a loss. This blog has brought a community to our lives we never knew we needed. While this was supposed to help others, it’s been beyond therapeutic for both of us - SO THANK YOU!!
